I've made the same argument myself.

The reason folks respect property rights is because society offers a square deal. It doesn't have to be equal. It cannot be entirely unequal in favour of a small class.

The latter is the revolutionary equation, which only a fool desires. Even a beneficiary of the inequality.

I have often argued the following:

Let us accept as premises that all of the folks variavly dependent on SSN, Medicare, Food stamps, school lunches, all sort of Pell grants and so on ... allow us to accept the Republican mantra, .... that they are lazy, corrupt, socialist dirt bags.


Allow us to assume that as absolute truth.


Is it not still a more sensible business decision to placate them at some level than it is to have that 299.99m US dirtbags come after your stuff?
