But at least some have appeared to have been:

The definition of racism is racial discrimination or persecution, not simply a feeling.

Actually, according to Merriam-Webster, we're both right.

Merriam-Webster Definition: rac·ism

1: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

2: racial prejudice or discrimination

"I've known plenty of liberals who are just as guilty of that as conservatives."

This is one of the bizzare statements that we have read recently.

Why? You don't know any liberals who are racist? Or you don't know any conservatives who are not racist? Obviously we travel in different circles.

I know plenty of conservatives who are Hispanic, Black, and Asian who don't hate white people. I also know plenty of white liberals who want to roll back the clock to pre-Civil War time, and put those 'non-white' people back in their places. Racism doesn't involve political views - it involves skin color and heritage.

One other comment. Just looking in the audience at the Republican National Convention last night shows just how white it really was.

True. But that doesn't mean they're all racists.
