Remember when the newly inaugurated Obama administration was roundly attacked by the Right because the Department of Homeland Security released this report pointing out that there was a potential threat of domestic terrorism involving former military personal? Obama was attacked for being anti-military and not honoring or respecting our troops. The fact that the report had actually been formulated and written while George W. Bush was in office and was delayed until it was released in March, 2009, was completely lost on the Right-wing media as well as most Republican hacks since it played into their already prejudiced view that Obama was a foreign-born, anti-American Muslim who had no legal right to sit in the Oval Office. To them, this was exactly the sort of thing that would expect that he would try and lie to the American public about. Well how many shootings and incidents have we had in the this country involving ex-military personnel over the last 3 1/2 years? I don't hear anyone apologizing, saying that perhaps the report had merit after all.
