It is about appropriateness,
I think the scars, consequences and circumstances of violent rape are things that folks need to consider, and talk about.

But not in kindergarten.

WAVX DD is like that, there are important and sensible things to be considered, but not there ... not in kindergarten.

I know this sounds condescending, perhaps it is, but it is simply the case.

The moderator comes up with all sorts of fig leafs, but truth is uncomfortable topics are not allowed. Fair enough, I do not want in depth exploration of violent rape in kindergarten.

That WAVX DD pretends to be all grown up is just and anecdote. It is not, it has no obligation to be.

Talking about SKS' IMO rather sophomore efforts at what was billed as being a really big cool thing is just too uncomfortable for some.

The moderator might well be served to migrate to topic banning instead of messenger banning.

"SKS' half-fluent mangled presentation makes me uncomfortable, I ban this topic."

.... as opposed to telling me, 24601 or whoever that they need a break. It is not that, it is simply that certain truths are too uncomfortable and not fit for a certain forum. Violent rape in kindergarten. SKS' miserable content at WAVX DD.

So it goes.

if the folks who want to identify tech dots could post their two or three posts a day some place, sans discussion, that might be one useful form of record.

but surrounding the actual information with endless optimistic interpretation makes the experience a kind of treacle wade.

the folks who think they want that, don't want that whenever they actually have it.

instead, they go off to other boards trying to exert their vision of discussion-free conformity there also.

hey, at least i have an experience of the bizarrery of crowd behaviour in this life and the opportunity to realise how thin is the wedge of open discussion.
