Hi Alea.....

"A single gene disorder is the result of a single mutated gene. Over 4000 human diseases are caused by single gene defects"

Primates i read,have about 400 single genetic disorders......hence
the multiple of 10.

For instance the Primate's immune system has a response
for cancer, whereas we do not.....where in the evolution chain
did we lose this immune response & why do we suffer from
cancer still today after millions of years of evolving....why did
evolution decide it would be a good idea to take away our
ability to respond to cancer..........?

How did the RH negative factor ever survive in the
chain of evolution?

Hi doma,

I'm not sure I understand your definition of evolution. Is your idea that populations of creatures become more perfect over time? Or just change in tune with their environment (via the processes of modification)?

Where does the 10 multiple come from?

Why are genetic variations called defects in your post? - are all variations defective?
