O.k., so with all of that settled,

would you consider or respond to this:

Is it possible that all of the technical expertise and "forest" considerations in this fascinating and emerging field may be so captivating to those most fluent in it that other matters of critical importance are simply whisked under the rug?

Do any of these things matter:

Decorum: generally the military has a few things they get a bit hung up on, rank, uniforms, procedure, respect. Am I wrong? Is it the case that the military does not give a flying monkey about uniform? It just seems if I'm going out the door in the morning and it is not too much effort I can go ahead and error on the side of giving them what the might want.

Presentations: I positively have seen presentations given at all sorts of symposia where the message inside was great and all anybody talked about was the bloody spelling, or the font, or the color of the background. Yes it shouldn't matter, but some people are dumb, and some dumb people make purchasing decisions. It just seems if I was going out the door and it is not too much effort I can go ahead and error on the side of giving them what they want.

Who gets it?

The stories surrounding IBM ending up with MSFT to provide DOS in 1982 are likely something you are familiar with. My understanding is the shiniest wrench was rather low in the pecking order. The things you dismiss, it seems to me, spell the difference between a 500 billion dollar company and a footnote.

Again, the things you scoff at seem to spell the difference between a 500 billion dollar company and a footnote.

Would you care to explain why it is a good thing, and sensible thing, an appropriate thing for Wave to deliberately avoid dress rules and disregard grammar. The historical record clearly indicates these things matter. I was taught in school that these things matter. I have seen folks not attend to these things and seen them get torched.

Why do these truths not apply to Wave? Is your argument simply that their wrench is so shiny that NOTHING else matters?
