Hi Alea......

look at it another way.........there is a miracle drug
called "The Placebo" that works 33-100% as well
as any medicine or medical procedure...& it's free.

History is littered with miracles so they cannot be
ignored or dismissed....these miracles come about
not because they are the hand of God but because
of the person's Belief in their God.....the same as
a cultural belief that a woman cannot get pregnant
before marriage or a Jansenist who believed God made
them immortal so they became immortal....until
their belief faltered & the church wiped them out.

Remember energy goes where attention flows....

Hi doma,

I don't really know much about why the placebo effect works to the extent it does in healing.

But it sets the bar for medical testing. The pharmaceuticals companies have to exceed the placebo effect in order to have their products sold as medicine. So I don't see them being affected by your belief model.

But I shall have to read some material about what is known about placebo effects and why they work. I know, for instance, that prayer has been scientifically tested on occasion to see if it works, and it apparently has no effect on results. So I think the success of belief in having a medical effect must be a personal thing.

This is why I enjoy these conversations with you. Gotta keep thinking.
