Kind of amazing that this dividend payment represent a distribution of $2.5 billion dollars to Apple shareholders, and that this is just a drop in the bucket for the company.
The numbers are really staggering. An analyst at Jefferies & Co. raised his price target for the shares from $800 to $900 today, just as the stock reaches an all-time high on the same day!
If Apple’s shares reach $900, the company’s market cap would top $800 billion, making it bigger than both the TARP bailout fund and the fiscal stimulus program enacted in the first year of the Obama presidency.
With these kinds of figures we are in the realm of astronomy as far as numbers go.
