I have a few thoughts on that.
No two bullet types fly the same. If you really care about accuracy, you need to PRACTICE with the same bullets you'd use for real.
Full Metal Jacket bullets are usually cheaper than hollow points, but they don't have the stopping power of hollow points. In fact, FMJ isn't good at all for larger critters. It's useful for rabbits and targets, but that's about it. Against a larger animal, FMJ passes right through and the animal continues to function, at least for a while. FMJ is the reason we sometimes hear of hunters who need to follow a trail of blood for miles to retrieve or finish off the deer they shot.
Hollow Point is the only intelligent choice for a human opponent. Obviously, you don't want the person you shoot to be able to return fire. Professionals have to practice with Hollow Point too.
So, I assume that's why it's being bought. This isn't the Olympics Homeland Security is preparing for.
