Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

re: "I am SOOOO glad I don't live in a battleground state."

And I'm a little upset that I do.

In a normal election, it's obvious that my vote isn't going to affect anything - so I'm free to make a statement of my choosing by writing someone in - usually the best person for the job. This time, there'll be some pressure to use it differently. I'm not sure whether that will affect me. Probably not.

There's a lot of BS in the ads. We have the Romney ads, heavily touting O'bummer's "You didn't build that!" (a line which the right has taken out-of-context, though hardly anyone realizes that) and we have O'bummer ads that have yet to air, claiming that Romney is a murderer.

Some of Romney's ads are positive, highlighting his work at the Salt Lake City Olympics. For that, I give him the edge in Virginia.

O'bummer's ads don't seem to want to discuss his 3.5 years as President. Not once. It's almost as if he's ashamed of them. Perhaps one of the forum's liberals can explain why we should reelect a man who isn't proud of his Presidency.
