An opportunity, not an outcome!

We found one line in Paul Ryan's speech this morning that has, and will, stay with us. Ryan said that the Romney/Ryan administration and philosophy would guarantee "an opportunity, not an outcome!" Nine out of every ten small business startups fail in the first two years of existence. In this troubling environment, that number may be even higher today than it was ten years ago, the last time that we heard it. The people who make these opportunistic attempts end up broken hearted, in debt, without the seed money that they used to fail, and with little future ahead of them. This is what people of wealth like Ryan and Romney don't want you to know.

Romney and Ryan live in a world far detached from the rest of America. They live in a world of fantasies created by those of equal wealth who move in the orbit that they move in, where money has never been an issue but hairbrained ideas such as starving the government of wealth by taking off the table the idea, long founded in good government philosophy, that tax policy should be a part of what drives this nation. Neither Romney or Ryan has ever served their nation in the military, as has president Obama neither served, and the idea that there can never be a tax increase again is the product of those who have never made any real personal sacrifices in their lives. Those who made up the greatest generation made many ultimate sacrifices and they never complained about paying taxes. Romney and Ryan work off of the assumption that those who have should have more and those who don't should be willing to continueally give and give and give.

The very worst part of this equal opportunity and not equal outcome philosophy is the fact that the very little that those who cannot function in this increasingly more complex society now have should be taken away from them to solve the problem that people like Romney and Ryan created through the years by their extremely small minded idea that there should be no government in this nation beyond a national defense. Millions of very sweet and helpless people will suffer and die under a Romney/Ryan administration as they make more and more decisions predicated on the cold, cruel, and ruthless actions of those who care nothing about anything but themselves and the continueal increase of their wealth. There is a passage in the Christian Bible from Matthew in the chapter twenty five, verses thirty one through forty six that simply says it all. It is well worth the read and may sound the death knell of this nation if it follows the course that people such as Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan propose. Nations are ultimately responsible for the actions of those who live inside them, and, in the final analysis, simply saying that we tried and failed in simply not good enough. There is equal opportunity and there will surely be an outcome, horrible as it may be.

IOVHO,

Regards,

Joe
