but relentless optimism with little conection to reality is creepy. it just is.

Maybe that right there is why I am less tolerant of him than you and many others are. In my previous life (when I was still working) I had a good friend and co-worker whose optimism was ridiculously over the top. I'd listen to the things he'd tell the bosses, and just cringe. Because I knew things would always be worse than he predicted, and knew what problems that would cause him.

And he never changed.

But I consider over the top relentless optimism to be a serious enough flaw to keep one out of the corner office.

SKS realizes he has a bit of credibility issue?

Ya think? Rolling Eyes

he doesn't quite have the same effect on me as he does you. i can listen and find my finances unaffected!!

but i cannot take it for long. mush isn't my usual choice of repast. mush in an unsafe harbour inclines me to vomit.

all the same, i really do wish SS all the best and i think he has his merits. but relentless optimism with little conection to reality is creepy. it just is.
