I remember seeing articles like this before the LG and Samsung deals.

I bet we will have Korean deals by the end of the year if not sooner.

I get a kick out of the writers suggestion that, speaking about InterDigital's patents, "domestic companies should not make the mistake of acknowledging the claimed patents." It's what always amazes me about the negotiations after an expired license. They already licensed the patents once, so claiming they don't use the patents anymore on thousand of patents is obviously absurd. If this writer spent 10 seconds, they would have realized that LG and Samsung have already "acknowledged" InterDigital's patents ... but they very likely could have ignored this undeniable fact and like you say, discussions with LG and Samsung must be moving along and it's time for them to create some manufactured fear (maybe even for others who want to get an InterDigital type deal when it is signed).
