Article about the shooter in WI. Note, however, the map included in the article showing hate group density. I find it fascinating that the redder states have more. An interesting correlation. It's easy to be flippant about it ("what did you expect of Repugnantcans?"), but I'm sure there are some fascinating sociological/psychological reasons for it. Understanding them is probably the first step to reducing the existence of such groups.
