I don't know if gay marriage is a threat to traditional marriage. Nobody has bothered to consider it.

Certainly, divorce almost on demand has eroded marriage.

IMO, I think we have a stronger society when we have many people in loving committed relationships, married or not.

'Marriage' is a basic building block of our society, but how has divorce eroded that? (before gay marriage evolved)
