It was indeed the power supply. As soon as I powered up with the other power supply I brought from home which is a little stronger than this one anyway, the GPU took right off in the folding client 6.41 and is running at 77 degrees and every setting I have just at the default for the GTX 460 card.

It is running about 15,000 PPD
according to FAH Spy.

I tried the SMP folding but they gave me some crappy work unit to get 72 PPD and I just shut it down.

I have no idea WHY they do things like that. It was a work unit or project 7200 and it was an A4 core.

I guess I won't be SMP folding on that core 2 duo.

I did get my one at home working again properly so I have two SMP folders going and the weakest processor is not.

Hopefully the GPU folding on that spare office machine will work like a smooth running motor for us.

I still may eventually acquire that power supply I found. Need a SPARE backup power supply always and THAT is a dandy for under $80.00

It would be a waste to not run multiple video cards on it though.Hmmmmmm. Nah. Mrs. micro would kill me on the spot. lol!!!!!!!

Better wait and see what the doc says in awhile.
