San Francisco isn't often hot. Neither is Eureka, Ca. Or Santa Barbara.

All nice places in the West.

If you find yourself in the vicinity of Eureka, do the drive to the little town of Petrolia. It's a beautiful area.

If you visit San Francisco, go to Yosemite. Maybe you've already seen it, but if you haven't, it's one of the natural wonders of the world, IMO.
