I am afraid I have to shut down the CPU (SMP) folding at home.

I have way too much LAG time on my computer with both it and the GPU folding.

I also reduced the GPU to running at stock speed to cut down on heat.

Mrs. micro said it gets waayyyyy too hot in this room and that I will have to turn off the computer overnight.

I didn't like that prospect so I decided to cut back the overclock and reduce the temperature by 20 degrees.

That GTX 460 fermi was running in the low 90's even with the fan jacked to 90 percent.

Now it is 71 degrees.

Also, I can type and use my scroll button and it works immediately.

I wish I did not have to do this but saw no choice in the matter. What I do not understand is why only 64 bit systems have such lagging problems.

My XP Pro 32 bit systems do not have that problem for which I am thankful. I can;t go backward to that here at home.

When I get back to work I will need to find out WHAT has happened to my folding there. Always a mystery.

My back is feeling much better today. I think the spinal injection(s) are beginning to work!

Just wanted to give you a heads up!

the best,

micro....
