I remember those drives! My first PC I had a 1 GB HD in it. It was the biggest available at the time.
Stanford seems to hate me for some reason.
They gave me another one of those Project 7200 SMP work units. I get a whopping 250 PPD with it, NO multiplier or anything.
I tried again last night at home to turn on SMP folding and they did the same thing to me again.
I turned it back off.
It appears Stanford does not want me FOLDING SMP with my Core 2 Duos.
The only one that I have running is here in my office
and it is project 11041. FAHSPY says I am getting 3200 PPD for it.
Not bad for a small E6750 2.66 Ghz cpu overclocked to 3.5 Ghz
Now why can;t my other machines with BETTER processors get these kind of wu's?
Drives me crazy.
SO, my purchase list now includes TWO hard drives, Two Flash drives and One Optical dvdrw drive.
I discovered I couldn't install Windows 7 on my spare computer with a CDrw drive and the program is on a DVD.
I am having minor surgery on Monday with my lower spinal column. Two spinal injections to hopefully ease the inflammation of the arthritic spurs in my lower back.
I actually am looking forward to it. I get TWO days off out of it.
Hopefully my machine will get stabilized. I hope so.
That will mean the GPU will keep folding all night and week-end. Since I am not running SMP on it the cpu should be okay.
Have a great Friday and weekend!
