Made it to Shanghai, but not until after we were all on board the plane and they discovered a problem with the fuel system and we were forced to move to a different plane. Fortunately is was another 777 so we just took the same seats as in the first plane. Anyway we finally made it about 3 hours late, but we were only plane unloading at the Shanghai airport at time of night (10:15pm) so the lines through passport control was short and the luggage was delivered very quickly so we probably saved about 30-40 minutes with the arrival, so in the end the delay wasn't as bad as it might have been.
BTW, this is the first international flight that I've been on where the Captain was a female. I've been on domestic flight with female Captains but never one going to an overseas destination. This was an American Airlines flight.
