BTW, I won't be upset if corn prices remain high. It's one of the better things to grow in New Hampshire. My field should be perfect for corn. Aside from fruit trees, corn has always been the #1 crop I've had in mind for it.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Yes you did. But I don't remember you mentioning it in June when it was bottoming! (Did you??)

My NH cousin's son moved last year to Austin after a brief stint in California. I guess the place is bustling, because he's now looking to buy a home. He says he wants to hold it a year, fix it up and sell it for what he says will be a $40,000 gain.

*sigh* It's starting again.

The big question, both with corn AND houses in Texas is . . . for how much longer will prices continue rising? (In Austin, they've been on the ascent for some time.)

There *are* some indications that housing has bottomed in many markets. I wish I'd bought a condo in Florida last year, but I never got around to it. Prices still seem cheap, though.
