For some reason for two days in a row I have come in and discovered my office computer had restarted itself between when I left and came in the following morning.
I have NO CLUE why. The other computer in the spare office was still running, although the GPU was 2D clocking for two days in a row. I finally just a bit ago got that cured.
I lowered the overclock on the office machine and also lowered the voltage increase as well. Temps seem really good so I have not a clue what is going ion there.
I thank you kindly ArVee for your kind words and encouragement.
BTW, I discovered the way to get a GPU to stop 2D clocking is to leave it folding and just restart the computer. Don't pause it or quit. That did not help and I tried it at least six times.
When I just shut down the computer with it running that did the trick. When it rebooted and came up away it went.
It only gets around 10,600 PPD but hey, I'll take it.
GTX 460's are getting cheap. Both of mine run over 16,000 PPD on certain work units.
I likely will buy another one a bit later for the folding rig I will be building.
Hope you guys all have an enjoyable Friday!
The best to all,
micro....
P.S. Going to dinner with mrs. micro tonight! First time getting her out to a restaurant for a meal so that will be exciting!
