Hi Alea,
Don't get me wrong, Arm processors with the Rich OS running beside the secure OS (TEE)and interoperating with the Secure Elements and the TPM functionality running as a secure App in the TEE is going to be the global standard JMO. I think Intel is making a big mistake by not embracing this "soon to become global standard". It remains to be seen what Intel will do about the TEE as specified by the Globalplatform org.
The Intel/MacAfee Deep Secure is the proprietary technology in competition with the TCG TPM solution.
As long as the x86 Intel platform has a TPM on the device it allows Wave's products to function.
AMD's adoption of TrustZone was their way into the TEE and the Globalplatform architecture. And as we all know the TCG is working hand in hand with them.
The next piece of the puzzle we are waiting for is what Arm/G&D/Germalto (Trusted Logic) has in mind with their partnership. I believe their partnership will set up the next stage where "Applets" can really start to be used and the TPM/MTM functionality is required to cryprographically sign those applets etc.
That should be very exciting to watch it develop JMO.
Enjoying the tennis!!!!!!!!!
