I finally do get, however, the Wave mind.
Its the guy who is sure his lottery ticket or more accurately bingo card is the winner. If you are sure of these things you can pretty much be a drunken fool. Sure, you look dumb as heck, and indeed are stupidly wasteful, but in your pea-brain, you know that you get to yell bingo in a few days, collect a tidy sum, pay off some (but not all) of your reckless indiscretions, and buy a new set of cards or tickets.
This is not what considered folks do with their own money ... and Lee is considered folk, they do it with other peoples money.
I think I agree with the unnameables, their raises and bonuses were obviously too low. They will show up with a bingo card and prove all this to be pure genius.
