Re banfest - I am aware of many bans, including, of course, myself! My complaint is not with the bans: I arrogantly tend to think they lose as much as I do by excluding my posts. Ha ha. It is with the fact that the folks on AB WAVX claim it doesn't happen there. Bans are often used on AB WAVX to exclude folks who don't adhere to the moderator's preferences. Same there as elsewhere.

Plentiful discussion: The other side rarely engages partly because they have experienced the partisan application of rules and censorship on AB WAVX. Back in the trance days, I remember well how he was given carte blanche and responses were disqualified. Not much has changed in the moderation. Gradual throttling of the conversation and partisan moderation has resulted in the removal of people to greener pastures - so that now, no one except the cynics can be bothered. The AB WAVX community also acts to exclude folks like dig. And truthfully, who wishes to engage in conversation with folks who call them idiots at every opportunity.

That's okay. AB WAVX can make its own choices. But let's not pretend the conversation over there is any different from WAVX DD. It just makes a different choice about what is excluded.

Fat jokes. Not participating is different to doing something. Sometimes it is worth making a statement to those doing the nasty stuff by standing against it. Saying they have the right is a cop out. Rights conflict. Why is one person's right not to read fat jokes any less than those of someone who wishes to post them? You're in a private space, not society as a whole. It's okay to have standards.

Of course criticising SS' management is okay. That's even allowed on WAVX DD to a great extent.

You are welcome to have your conversation with dig here if you wish. Thanks for respecting the local rules re referencing other posters. :-)

Sorry to perpetuate this, but been offline and didn't see the responses until this morning. And I need to make a comment or two to clarify.

Dig, re: "I did at some point indicate to you that that board is no place to communicate to me on"

I did it there instead of here for only one reason. I was making a lighthearted joke in response to your comment here about betting on the community organizer. My response involved referencing a particular individual, therefore I was concerned it was against CF's board rules. So I addressed you elsewhere. That's the one and only reason I didn't do it here.

Dig, re: "that I was keen for exit points".

I wish I had seen this, would love to have a discussion with you about that. I need an exit point for my remaining shares now that I am convinced the chances for ultimate success (of wavx shareholders) are about two orders of magnitude less than the miniscule amount I believed just a couple of years ago.

Dig, re: "I thought tour would be flattered. Guess not."

TOUR? What does he have to do with it? Are you suggesting that Jose is Tour? I am not aware of that being a fact. Can you elaborate?

CF,re: "the AB WAVX board is a ban fest."

Again, in my ignorance I was not aware it was a banfest, which to me implies many, many bans, such as is the case with the dd board. I was aware of only a very few. Did not know it was a fest.

CF, re: "He is an obvious partisan for cynicism about WAVX." Yep, a partisan, but willing to allow plentiful discussion from both sides....but the "other" side rarely engages. They have no use for the place. But they are allowed, at least in my observations.

CF, re: "And the other half of the board's content is fat jokes...."

I am not a fan of that, and do not participate in ridiculing his physical appearance. I am more than willing to participate in ridiculing his poor management and governance. It enrages me that my "fellow shareholders" enable it. But I certainly don't go for the donut jokes. But it's their right to go there if they feel the need.

Bottom line, as usual for me with removed posts, I feel a loss for not having gotten to see and participate in Dig's commentary. I'd like to have that conversation about exit points.
