Gallup hasn't been kind to Obama this year, they are usually on par with Rasmussen, lean right.

can successfully debate Obama?

Is the bubble so big that Obama is dull (cause Romney is just plain dull already).

It is interesting ... certainly they can wobble to a draw, and maybe Mitt can pull a trick, but odds are the man from Chicago crushes the dude with the silver spoon.

Both are well educated intelligent and capable folks, but were I on the right I would not be looking forward to this. Yes, I know, he is black and all, but the rich dude is a Mormon, so that makes all of that a wash.

One barometer I used to follow indicated that reelection was simply gas price, and that in this year it was at 3.75 a gallon, under goes to the incumbent, over to the challenger.

Onto that the constant grilling of Obamacare is dullingits edges, many in the middle starting to think, well, ok, I don't like it per se, but hey, it is something ... lets see how it goes.

The erosion of anti-Obamacare numbers is an early indicator, if it continues, this thing is over.
