The confidential witness lists are filed to preserve and comply with any contractual confidentiality covenants that may exist between the declarer and the witness and his/her company. Most licenses contain confidentiality covenants. An exception to these covenants is information demanded via court orders for production of documents and witness testimony. Protective orders are executed by all the lawyers in the case and their support personnel. Therefore, any evidence offered by a party is usually done so in a confidential setting (clear the courtroom) and via confidential witness lists because the court usually requires the identification of the witness and a summation of the subject matter of his/her testimony. Hope this helps you. If not, I will try to answer any questions you may have.

all file their witness list as confidential. The only one that filed their witness list publicly was ZTE.

Other than trying ot avoid showing their hand what can this be about.
