This is the problem with fiat money. There is nothing stopping governments from printing INFINITE paper - except for fear of instigating the panic that the public SHOULD experience. And governments are motivated to do just that, infinite printing. So they will.

There is no analogy that fits better than the frog in the pan of water on the stove. As long as the temperature increases GRADUALLY, the frog will stay in the pan. Eventually, it will boil to death.

We're the frogs.

The money printing isn't going to end. It will only accelerate, with each government racing to outprint the others - because whoever prints earliest gets to spend the least debased money.

And because people are not actually frogs, I'm confident that one day an appreciable number of them will figure it out and panic. Get ready for that day. When it happens, there will be no time to make preparations.
