But actually, what measures are you talking about?
Sure, there are some specialties in which the US appears to be very strong. But this is true of other countries also.
On the other hand, the weakness of US healthcare isn't confined to issues of access. It extends to areas like outcomes (eg infant mortality scores are awful in the US) and service quality. And then it obviously relates to expense and efficiency, which likely reflects on the insurance and for-profit structure.
Perhaps the 0.1% have special hospitals for themselves. But I don't know about this.
