UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMMISSION
WASHINGTON, D.C.
Before the Honorable David P. Shaw
Administrative Law Judge
In the Matter of
CERTAIN WIRELESS DEVICES WITH 3G
CAPABILITIES AND COMPONENTS
THEREOF
Investigation No. 337-TA-800
NON-PARTY GOOGLE INC.’S UNOPPOSED MOTION FOR AN EXTENSION OF
TIME TO MOVE TO LIMIT OR QUASH RESPONDENTS’ SUBPOENA
Pursuant to Rules 210.15 and 210.32 of the Commission’s Rules of Practice and
Procedure, 19 C.F.R. §§ 210.15 and 210.32, non-party Google Inc. (“Google”) hereby moves for
an extension of time to file a motion to limit or quash the subpoena duces tecum and ad
testificandum issued by the U.S. International Trade Commission upon application made by
Respondents Nokia Corporation and Nokia Inc. on June 20, 2012. Google received the subpoena
on June 22, 2012. Pursuant to the subpoena, any motion to limit or quash the subpoena is
currently due on July 3, 2012, and Google is required to produce documents on July 2, 2012, and
to provide testimony on July 13, 2012, or at such other time and place agreed upon. Google
respectfully requests an extension of time to move to limit or quash the subpoena until July 16,
2012.
Google only recently received the subpoena and is still evaluating it. The requested
extension may eliminate the need for motion practice, which would conserve the Administrative
Law Judge’s and the parties’ resources.
2
Pursuant to Ground Rule 5(e), the undersigned certifies that he contacted counsel for
Nokia, OUII, and all other parties two days before filing this motion and made reasonable good-
faith efforts to resolve the matter. None of the parties oppose this motion.
For the foregoing reasons, Google respectfully requests that the Administrative Law
Judge grant Google’s motion for an extension of time to limit or quash Complainants’ subpoena
to July 16, 2012. A proposed order is attached.
Respectfully submitted,
