i don't think it matters.

what you have here, fairly obviously, is wave funding a separate sprague hobby horse.

that being the case, the positives are lost.

would they have funded a different car company? of course not. it was done because it was a related party transaction. or so it appears.

the appearance is what matters.

this is why you don't do related party transactions if it is possible.

hey, it may also help promote another sprague's logo design business. works for every sprague i can think of.

It was as positive a spin as I could muster as I turned the other cheek.

On the face of it, it stinks, but if it is in the shareholders interest, then the case to justify the decision even if it involves nominal cost, should be made.
