Rights are funny old things.

They have this funny habit of conflicting.

Maybe one group's freedom to live one way conflicts with someone else's to live differently.

Sometimes folks want different things.

The majority on the east and the west can want a right to a substantial government and the majority in the middle can want a right to a minimal one.

Are those two different things? Or are they the same thing? The right to have the kind of government you wish for?

A few days ago, driving to work, I saw a great bumper sticker.

"Humanity is diminished when any group is denied rights granted to others."
