hi dig,

i think you are mistaken in awk's purpose.

he invests in architecture. he sees the work of construction as a long run thing. unlike for you and i, short run issues hardly affect awk's view. i don't think he shares the same feeling about time or dilution as we do because he is focused on something different that fills him with feelings of optimism. There will be a big enough pie for everyone to benefit. In the long run.

i think it is no coincidence that the folks who focus on technology are those who seem least affected by numbers, management issues, cash flows etc. I suspect they feel like they live in a parallel universe.

i think you have made a mistake here in going down this road. people can disagree and still be sincere.

that Wave, as a unit, call them a military platoon if you will, will succeed because they have better hardware, better guns.

Never mind the officer corps, the non-coms, thes folks captains, lieutenants, sergeants ... these folks do not matter ... it only matters if you happen to have a cooler gun.

there is very little history to support that notion.

Awk and SKS coordinated and successfully suppressed any effort to amend the officer corps. It doesn't mean somebody won't make money off the cool guns ... those with the access, contacts and nimble resources will do fine.
