ARVee,
Yes, I am getting those same uniots, 11070's at work for my A_4 units and they run very nicely on my core 2 duos.
I have come to the conclusion that if I add more hardware I am not going to worry about SMP folding as the bang for the buck is in GPU folding while ANY processor will do make a system.

Cheap mobo (refurbished) and processor = good base to start from.

I can't do it here because of the heat the cards generate in the office. Mrs. micro is paying way too much attention to the heat in the room with the one, which I did back down slightly.
No need to run it full blast while being at 92 degrees C and no place to go with the heat except this room. Have to really run that video card fan at 85% in order to keep it at this level.

That little Zotac 550Ti averages around 11,500 PPD so I m happy with that.

Maybe another 460GTX or perhaps a 560Ti if the price is right. Will have to wait and see.

I can't seem to get rid of that pesky 7200 no matter what. I'll try one more time to purge out the SMP folder and restart it. If it gives me yet another 7200 I will pull the plug on this core 2 duo SMP folding permanently. If it gets over 3,000 PPD that is different because it is significant and a boost to the scores.

I don't quite get Stanford and why they think someone is going to tie up a higher end processor running 100 percent all day every day for a measley 187 points.

I did better than that when we had A_2 cores.

Oh well. I have a lot to do today and MAY take mrs. micro out of the house and to the Mall for a few minutes. She needs to get out.

Catch you later!

micro.... Smile

Coincidentally enough (and wildly so), after weeks if not even months of the affliction of those a_4 WU's (7200?) I see that 24 hours ago I was assigned an 11070! Let's hope that a) it lasts and b) that happens for you too, Micro.
