I don't know about that. The company has the money to make such purchases now regardless that they will receive an additional $350 million in Q3. They purchased $10s of millions worth this year alone before the May announcement for an additional $100M before this last $100M. If they were waiting for the cash to hit the bank account in order to act they might as well have announced an increase in the dividend for next quarter.
I would guess that the company will not be buying back shares until the deal is closed and the money is in the bank. The announcement of the buyback was about confidence.
