My recollection is that the balance was paid and the agreement effectively ripped up.
A subsequent chip deal was done in China with a different entity. I don't know if a name was ever given for that company, but we did get pictures of Uncle Billie at the photo op.
Was the agreement nixed or was the receivables simply written-off because Spreadtrum was in rough shape a few years back and collection was doubtful ... InterDigital did collect some revenues from China last year, yet we don't know from who because they were immaterial amounts and not specifically disclosed ... Maybe Spreadtrum is one of the arbs going on?
