Was the agreement nixed or was the receivables simply written-off because Spreadtrum was in rough shape a few years back and collection was doubtful ... InterDigital did collect some revenues from China last year, yet we don't know from who because they were immaterial amounts and not specifically disclosed ... Maybe Spreadtrum is one of the arbs going on?

The IDCC website does not have a 'search' function that, well, functions. So pulling up the exact language is problematic. Nonetheless, Spreadtrum refused to make subsequent payments and the agreement was nixed. Here is the reversal of the reserve due to the settlement:

Scott McQuilkin, Chief Financial Officer, commented, "We posted a very strong quarter, with an increase in royalty revenue combining with a decrease in our core operating expenses.... Our selling, general and administrative expenses also benefited from a $1.0 million credit associated with the reversal of an allowance for an uncollectible receivable.
