...the republican party doesn't have much of aright wing. It consists mostly of liberals, moderates and other spineless creatures. Their only saving grace is that they are better than the alternative. Seems that they do need the anti abortion crowd as much as the libs need their fringe groups to win though.

Romney's VP choice could be critical. If he selects some Neocon Scumbag or Conservative Caveman, it will diminish his moderate credentials as he pushes Obama to the left to capture the center. The right-wing, with their goofy and radical notions, are still pretty scary to most Americans. Rubio is about the last candidate Romney should consider.
