Hi D&O,
Helping to normalise the conversation amongst shareholders is a part of what I hope to achieve. The Wavoid patient appears to be hypnotised (!) by the carrot which dangles in front of him. He repeats year after year "It's coming" but doesn't seem to notice "it" never arrives.
Occasionally, one of them wakes up and becomes enraged that they were led along like that. The dream turns into a rage of wasted time and the humiliation of feeling one's self to have been made into a fool.
But there's another way. Instead of responding with anger, we can demand structure. Instead of being the ass enticed by the carrot, we can pin the tail on the donkey.
I think Wave's investors may at last demand something more than nebulous stories about positioning and fabulous pipelines - and demand some numbers against which to measure the company's performance. We'll see.
It is overdue for the mush to be turned into concrete.
