It comes as no surprise to me that our President, who cares more about getting re-elected than solving our nation's problems, threw a bone to the Hispanic community. As a Mexican-American who would much rather be referred to as simply American, I am more offended by the gesture than excited and I hope my fellow Hispanic voters feel the same.
Obama's amnesty law for young illegals who were born in this country has nothing to do with his concerns for them and everything to do with the fact he thinks Hispanic voters are stupid. President Obama believe Hispanics are dogs and he can hold a treat in front of our face in order to win our vote. Make no mistake, this decision by his administration was planned and timed in accordance with the upcoming election.
Just to prove I'm not simply an Obama hater, I want to point out, I actually don't disagree with amnesty for illegals. I'm not saying I would just allow all illegals to continue on as is, but I also don't believe we can pick and choose who should get deported. It's our own fault as a country that these people are here and have been allowed to get established in the country. We owe Hispanics a comprehensive plan spelling out the rules for illegals currently in our country and those who plan on coming here. We owe them a simple path to becoming part of the greatest country in the world and a streamlined immigration system. My problem isn't with Hispanics coming here or already being here. My problem is that they don't pay taxes and follow the proper path to actually being true citizens.
Those who are here deserve a simple path to becoming legal, tax paying citizens and they should not be afraid to pursue citizenship. We must close the border to illegals, make becoming a citizen more simple, and give those already here a clear path to becoming citizens without the fear of deportation. If they then choose to not take that path in a timely matter, I fully support deporting them.
What President Obama has done takes no steps toward creating a streamlined, simple immigration system. All it does is continue to leave Hispanics in a position of slaves to the Democratic party. He is clearly treating us as dogs - stupid dogs that he believes have no understanding of what he really thinks.
President Obama, I refuse to allow the Hispanic community to believe you care. Your actions are a bigger insult than anything. I understand you have no intention to solve immigration issues because that would leave Hispanics as free people - Free to vote for whoever they wish without being deceived in an effort to gain political power.
We are not your dogs and I will see to it my fellow Hispanic voters make our voices heard. We deserve better!

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.
