I agree with Rat, something seems a bit off here....

This answers a few questions but provokes more. For instance. although it provides one explanation for why the $250 note was taken, it certainly does not “match” the timing of certain events.

So then, one has to ask what explains the timing and events below:

1/13/2012 – Form 13G shows Blackrock shows ownership of >5% (5.92% as of Dec. 30, 2011)
1/14/2012 – Form 13G shows Paulson shows ownership of >5% (6.48% as of Dec. 31, 2011)

1/23/2012 - InterDigital Concludes Strategic Alternatives Review Process
1/26/2012 - Clontz purchased 10,000 , Janet Point 1500 and Merritt 6828 shares (in the upper $30's....)

3/31/2012 – Paulson & Co. raised position in InterDigital, Inc. from 2,949,600 shares to 4,000,000 shares

4/18/2012 - InterDigital has applied for a $1.05 million grant from the Delaware Strategic Fund to establish an office in Delaware that would employ 74 people. Announcement includes comments about “growth plans” and “hiring additional people everywhere”

ASM-KOP FINAL NUGGETS

AFTER THE MEETING WITH BM

IDCC was part of the ROCKSTAR GROUP for the Nortell auction of Patents. When
the bidding got too rich for our blood, we dropped out.

Why did Nortel sell and we didn't?

Nortel auction was a discreet package of patents- nothing else- with a deadline. If one
did not participate before the deadline, game over.

Constrast IDCC- No bankruptcy deadline - what do you do with the amalgam of management, 300
engineers, all the office locations etc. Parties were interested mostly in just patents and not necessarily
all of them- just certain bundles. There was interest in the whole company in the early going, 30s & 40s
but tailed off as we went to the 80s. When the price came down again interest picked up again. No deadline
no pressure to make a decision- Idcc still here - game not over

Earlier, you said a couple of larger bundles of patents were put up for sale and might be finalized in
3 to 6 months or by the end of the second quarter. Is that still on track?

We have one employee focusing on each bundle we're trying to sell. We are working hard at it but
can't predict exactly when they will be finalized.
