SO "the industry" in general is looking out for the consumer based on the recent filings by huwaei in Europe, but at the same time possibly moving away from companies with some "technical superiorities" based on potential costs? This is as clear an example of why Interdigital is have so much trouble working with all the colluders. All this to avoid less than a buck a phone? WOW that is a crazy number??? The industry does not want another QCOM period and are doing all they can to try and squash Interdigital. Data, you work for an industry of thieves and snakes that have bought off the courts in many cases. Your sniping at Interdigital over the years has been obvious but I now understand you are just part of the filthy machine in your industry.

the industry is still not sure how much actual savings will happen in going with Apple's "royalty free" promise if TS102 221 selected the Apple proposal (Nokia was going to hold back licensing their IP for it if Apple's was chosen, but now say they will).....

but there are certainly comparisons to some of IDCC's proposals in the WGs....that may have had some technical superiorities....but were not chosen because alternatives offered "less" royalties or could impact license negotiations....
