Yea, its a take in all in thing,

Todd Martin against some Spanish qualifier, Martin old, but with reach and game, the Spaniard doing under the leg stuff and just going crazy, I can't honestly even remember who one. Obviously all a hold out for the main event, but such is court 1

Back on 16 there was Shaughnessy as part of some doubles thing, and what seemed like a normal person on TV is turned into some sort to Amazon thingy in reality. Seriously, that "girl" could hit a ball harder and faster right in my face than pretty much anything I have ever seen from say, 20" away (I'll lean back next time).

I am completely not a tennis person, seriously, but the big tourneys, front to back, as defined, is rather remarkable.

On your predictable top, yes it is, until the day it isn't.

It is truly great shit to go see. Screw the championship crap. (although seeing Serena just go all tough in a hard champ match was certainly remarkable).

The stunning thing is how slow they all are on TV, and live it is just wow.

Hi dig,

I've been to one tennis match live. It was a Wimbledon final. It rained and rained. They finished the next day when I was at work.

Maybe I should have gone some other day!

I was only commenting on the fact that tennis tournaments have begun more predictable than I ever remember them. Four men are a step up from everyone else. It's become a rare thing to have anyone else in the semi-finals at the major tournaments. To the point at which the rest of the tournament seems superfluous.

1. Who will win between Nadal (2) and Murray (4)?
2. Who will win between Djoko (1) and Federer (3)?
3. Who will win the final?

Same three questions almost every time.

I guess you have a more inclusive idea. It's fun to watch the others. But in terms of winning, it's simple.
