Thx for the Atlantic article, Change. Found it.

I think BB has done an excellent job in difficult circumstances. It was a great piece of luck to have a depression specialist in place when the depression arrived. I kinda disregard what politicians have to say on the subject of economics. If economics is a science, then it must be based on real data, not fiction and theories of odd moralities.

Krugman attacks BB from the left to provide a counter-balance.

Bernanke's elastic money is alea's jellyfish, more-or-less. Good point that we don't really have rules to define when to expand and when to contract the money supply. Human brains are still better at these kinds of judgements than computers.

No argument on the strategic relevance and wish it were so. However, until confirmed, I see no there there.

Insofar as inflation/deflation, The Atlantic's article on Bernancke was rather well done. I like how it highlighted the importance of labor rates being "non-sticky". Always the little guy......
