John Edwards not guily on one count; mistrial on 5 others
The jury in the John Edwards trial found the defendant not guilty on 1 of 6 counts against the former presidential candidate. The judge has declared a mistrial over the remaining 5 counts after the jury said they were deadlocked on them. Edwards had been facing six charges involving nearly $1 million provided by two wealthy donors to help hide his pregnant mistress as he sought the White House.
