This is a classic microscope versus telescope conversation.

dig, they didn't provide sufficient information to derive a forecast.

Volume is unclear.

Unit price is unclear.

OEM timetable is unclear.

Only thing that seems fairly clear is that MTMs and/or TZ-enabled units (poss synonymous) were not included assuming the strict definition of TPM.

Since it yielded an 8k, I hope samsung is a material item.

Dig,

I do hear what you are saying and trying to wrap numbers around. Samsung is very fuzzy around publishing hard numbers on most of their products as I understand it. The fact that they are just getting into supplying TPM chips in the x86 arena makes it even more difficult. They want to supply other OEM's as well for their products so who the hell knows what kind of number to attach to "what price per Box". My gut tells me it won't be any cheaper than what Dell pays per Box. Now complicating things is the TSS (Trusted Software Stack). Does Wave get a nickel per TPM for supplying it and say $.75 per Computer with a TPM??

Don't know and really don't care (seems strange I know) but I'm really interested in how all the end points get the TPM/MTM functionality because with out them (and the SED's) Wave will never make the big dollars (licensing fees).

Do not want to get into the "applet" discussion at this time, as it is still a ways a way JMHO
