Uglier? Certainly more partisan ... because the immediate stakes are much higher than they used to be, ribit. In the past, we had two major political parties that, even though they differed in how they proposed to lead, genuinely believed in the superior goodness of Christian values, the Constitution, the American people, and Capitalism. Now, in general, we have one major political party (Republicans) that kinda, sorta still believes in the true virtues of the United States and another major political party (Democrats) that believes in Marxism. It is an ongoing battle for the very existence of the United States of America, and the unscrupulous, anti-American left wants to see us destroyed at any cost.

...these are the same folks who were so angry they couldn't spit over Nixon's dirty tricks folks.

Does it seem like politics is getting uglier, or is the ugliness just getting better coverage?
