Must this be a Wave client software module or might Wave have agreed to port its ERAS-connecting ETS facilities into Windows 8?

Actually, this makes little sense from an MS perspective.

If ESC includes ETS, I guess the royalty per unit would be higher.

While in previous years it was called the ETS (Embassy Trust Suite) which contained the ESC (Embassy Security Center) the client software module now is the ESC,
