I would agree were the case that Atml of Intc sold handsets or tablets where a complete solution is required. It reads 'on Samsung devices that include a TPM'. Intc doesn't sell peanuts in the way of assembled MoBos and in 2005-7 a variety of INTC, STM, BRCM, USG and Winbond were variably 10% customers ... all to get swept away by the box guy, in this case Dell. I read it more like Dell and less like BRCM (which provides the chip to Dell and for whom BRCM dropped off the 10% radar years ago). Whether Wav e still gets a penny for those from BRCM I do not know, but I read this like Dell and not like chip folks.

Hi dig,

What's the difference between a motherboard and a box from a TCG embedded chip software provider viewpoint?

This is the embedded fee per chip thingie, isn't it? Not at all like the Dell deal.

How much does Wave make from Atmel and Broadcom?
