You have said that when you try to install a video driver you get the message about no video card for this driver available, or something to that effect.

Let me give you a specific instruction to try.

DELETE, uninstall every nvidia driver you can find.

All of them.

Then without installing a new driver, shut off the computer. Shut it down.

Wait a few minutes.

Now turn it back on. doa SEARCH for nvidia files using search.

Go to the start button and click it. The search for files is right there above it at the bottom.

ANYTHING you find there for nvidia get rid of.

REBOOT.

(windows will supply generic drivers for the video card so don't worry about that.)

Okay,

Now let's try installing the nVidia driver 301.42

Do a custom install instead of EXPRESS if it give you that choice.

Select ONLY the nvidia driver and proceed.

You will need to reboot assuming it installs.

Hopefully this takes care of the driver situation.

ArVee will assist with the FLAGS to try on the folding client including.

Meanwhile I found this:

Testing out GTX 680 folding
Well, downloaded the v7 client and the GPU.txt and set the flag for my GPU to "client-type" "beta" and we shall see what happens.

ALSO

READ THIS from STANFORD about client version 7

THIS is the folding client you need!

Okay,
now let's fold!
